This role focuses on the development of next-generation aerospace fastening systems and advanced assembly solutions, including adhesive bonding, laser-based joining, robotic automation, and integrated assembly technologies. This position is a true front-end R&D and design role, not manufacturing, tooling, or process engineering. Engineers must be capable of operating independently, owning early-stage design challenges, and contributing immediately with minimal ramp-up. Key Responsibilities * Research & Innovation * Lead R&D initiatives in fastener design, adhesive bonding, laser joining, and robotic assembly * Investigate emerging technologies and materials to improve performance and manufacturability * Conduct feasibility studies and material evaluations * Participate in weekly innovation forums and collaborative engineering discussions * Design & Development * Develop prototypes and validate designs using CAD, FEA, and simulation tools * Design new products, systems, and test procedures * Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Configuration teams * Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and test protocols * Testing & Validation * Design and execute experiments assessing mechanical performance, durability, and environmental resistance * Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations * Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ASTM, SAE) * Project Execution * Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, including planning, milestones, and reporting * Interface with suppliers and customers as required * Work independently with minimal supervision SOFTWARE / TOOLS USED * CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX, or similar) * FEA and simulation tools * Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook * Engineering documentation and design control systems If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
