Job Description
The key responsibilities of the R&D Engineer are:
- Serve as the primary CAD resource for the engineering team
- Create, maintain, and update CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Support new product development and existing product improvements
- Assist with both R&D initiatives and on-site manufacturing support
- Work with complex mechanical assemblies and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and production
- Contribute to design optimization and continuous improvement efforts
- Grow into a more senior design engineering position over time

The Successful Applicant
The successful R&D Engineer will have the following:
- 5-10 years of CAD/engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (essential)
- Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies
- Proven ability to manage and maintain engineering drawings and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (strongly preferred)
- Background in machinery, industrial equipment, or similar industries preferred
- Hands-on mechanical or manufacturing experience advantageous
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the CAD function
