Description

  • Lead R&D projects by defining scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assess technical feasibility and develop new product solutions
  • Act as a technical lead within cross‑functional project teams to deliver agreed objectives
  • Work closely with operations, quality, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Gather and interpret customer insights through research, interviews, observation, testing, and competitive analysis
  • Design robust, manufacturable products using sound engineering fundamentals
  • Use modelling and analytical tools to simulate systems, evaluate data, and support decision‑making
  • Develop, execute, and analyse test methods, including defining equipment, set‑ups, and measurement systems
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Author and review engineering change documentation and support controlled implementation
  • Lead issue resolution activities, including risk assessment, prioritization, and closure
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support for both new developments and existing products
  • Proactively generate innovative ideas to enhance product performance and create new solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations
  • Act as a strong advocate for the customer throughout the development process

Profile

  • Degree qualified in engineering, materials science, plastics, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience within an R&D or product development environment, ideally within manufacturing
  • Strong project management capability, with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple initiatives
  • Confident applying statistical and analytical tools to support engineering decisions
  • Proficient with CAD software and comfortable producing and interpreting technical designs
  • Skilled in structured problem‑solving techniques (e.g. root cause analysis, FMEA)
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and engaging with customers and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required
