R&D Engineering Manager

A growing electronic component manufacturer with a global footprint is seeking a Research & Development Engineering Manager to lead innovation initiatives, identify emerging product opportunities, and drive new product development efforts from concept through commercialization.

Description

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and market opportunities
• Generate innovative product ideas through customer engagement and industry research
• Lead product development programs from concept through commercialization
• Create and evaluate prototypes and product designs
• Conduct engineering analysis and validation activities
• Assess manufacturability, scalability, quality, and cost considerations
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams
• Support customer meetings, technical discussions, and product presentations
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding future product and manufacturing initiatives

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in product development, R&D, or innovation engineering
• Demonstrated success launching products into commercial production
• Understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing processes
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment

Job Offer

• Base Salary: $135,000-$150,000

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for quarterly and annual discretionary merit compensation.
