Our client, a Food Product Manufacturer company, is looking for a R & D Laboratory Analysis - Junior Assignment for their Thompson's Station, TN location.
Responsibilities:
Entry level position with basic knowledge of Assignment procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks. Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy. Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures
This is typically a Assignment with significantly more authority and responsibility at this Assignment level. It should be selected to recognize differences which are not enough to be represented by a separate Assignment level, such as increased proficiency in skills/competencies to perform responsibilities, greater impact to the business unit, customer, segment, geography, etc. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates.

Roles in this Assignment family are responsible for managing or performing work in some or all of the following areas; assisting scientists and engineers in lab environment (collect sample, perform biological or chemical analysis), setting controlled research experiments, day to day coordination or lab projects.
Laboratory Technical Analysis work is focused on chemical or biological analyses in support of scientific research or quality testing including:
Planning, designing, and conducting laboratory experiments to test the physical and/or chemical specifications of various substances, materials, and products to inform scientific research
Estimating the resources and time required to conduct an experiment and monitoring performance to ensure these targets are met
Collecting, preparing, and testing samples and recording observations
Preparing detailed reports with recommendations, applications, and conclusions
Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working order
Requirements:
Bachelors of Science in Biology, Chemistry or related fields
2-3 years in a laboratory environment, ability to lift 40 lbs
Strong communicator, detail oriented, positive mindset, self-starter, reliable and needs to be a team player. The individual needs to be ok with ambiguity and cannot be resistant to change.
LIMS experience, experience in Microsoft Office, experience with PCR methods (BAX, Gene Up)
Bachelors
Experienced in PCR technologies, ISO 17025 knowledge, experienced in use of petri film, cultural plating methods, anaerobic plating methods
Practical and theoretical knowledge of ISO 17025
Knowledge of cross-contamination management/mitigation in laboratories
Knowledge of aseptic technique
Experience and skill in using computers, filling out spreadsheets (Excel), Word, ELN, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
Practical laboratory skills and ability to troubleshoot/maintain complex laboratory instrumentation
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of biological risk control plans, laboratory safety, chemical management
