ResponsibilitiesThe R&D Associate will support research and development activities involving material characterization, testing, sample preparation, and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate benchtop test equipment to characterize a variety of material properties and conduct reliability testing.
- Learn and become proficient in a wide range of laboratory tests, processes, and procedures.
- Complete assigned work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Apply scientific reasoning to solve basic problems.
- Use hand tools for sample preparation and projects involving hardware modification or fabrication.
- Collect, organize, and compile data from laboratory testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members.
- Maintain the laboratory, including proper sample labeling, organization, and waste disposal.
- Maintain, verify, and calibrate designated laboratory equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing techniques, hardware, or software.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience with data acquisition and data management.
- Ability to troubleshoot characterization and application equipment.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in testing techniques, hardware, or software.
- Background in silicones and related testing methodologies is beneficial.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Motivated to learn and apply new technical skills.
- Strong scientific and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
