Where: St. Charles, IL
Pay: $24.00/hr
When: 1st Shift — Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm; Friday 8:00am–12:00pm
Term: Contract (April–September, 6 months)
What You’ll Tackle
- Set up and operate lab extruders and complementary lab equipment
- Prepare samples through extrusion, grinding, and spraying workflows
- Use bonding mixers to create metallic samples for bonding trials
- Formulate using standard NAFTA formulations
- Track quality and machine health during runs; escalate abnormalities quickly
- Perform equipment clean-downs and disassembly following lockout procedures
- Keep the lab safe, organized, and audit-ready
- Capture results and run data using basic computer tools
Who You Are
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Chemistry or a related science preferred
- 1+ years in a lab or manufacturing setting
- Meticulous, quality-driven, and safety-minded
- Comfortable with basic data entry and documentation
- Dependable teammate who can also work independently
Great-to-Have Extras
- Experience in coatings, plastics, or chemical manufacturing
- Hands-on time with extrusion, grinding, or spraying
- Familiarity with SAP
What’s Required
- Must be available for the full April–September contract period
- Must be able to pass a 4-panel drug screen and 7-year background check
- SD rated steel toe footwear required on day one
