Job Description

How you will contribute
You will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.). To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information. In this role, you will create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications and be responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results.

Lead product development projects with cross-functional partners
Strong technical foundation and a high level of technical curiosity
Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects, and manage complexity- from bench top to plant commercialization
Ability to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings
Applying technical curiosity and understanding to interpret and analyze data
Effectively communicating to cross-functional stakeholders verbally and in writing
Skills in Microsoft Office platform (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

What you need to know about this position:
Reports to NA Ventures RDQ Director supporting Perfect Snacks. Position is located in East Hanover, NJ
NA Ventures RDQ Product Development will lead product development for Perfect Snacks across productivity and ensuring business continuity programs.

Education / Certifications: B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 yrs. experience, preferably in the food industry
Travel requirements: Up to 20% travel, largely to California for Pilot Plant and Mfg Plant scale-up.
Work schedule: This position is based in East Hanover, NJ, with a hybrid work model offering a mix of onsite and remote flexibility.
