The Opportunity
This position works out of our Woodridge St. Paul, MN location in the Structural Heart division. The position is in office and typical business hours.

As an R&D Technician you will:
Apply technical expertise to support design of new products and processes and improve existing products
What You'll Work On
Apply organizational and technical skills to support development testing and design verification and validation activities for next-generation heart valve projects
Under limited supervision assist in the analysis of new design components and/or assemblies
Assist in the planning, design, and development of test requirements and special testing equipment/apparatus
Participate in the development of engineering documentation for new products or product changes
Help organize and maintain the R&D laboratory:
Coordinate equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
Order consumable supplies
Work with other technicians and engineers to ensure laboratory remains a safe, effective place to conduct research
Manufacture prototypes for evaluation and training
Flexibly move between assignments and take on new tasks to meet the needs of a fast-paced, rapidly changing product development program
Requirements:
Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work with hands to fabricate small to medium size components
Capable of documenting, consolidating, and organizing data
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document actions
Strong communication skills needed for
explaining actions and results to engineers
facilitating testing of prototypes with internal resources
Familiarity with bench testing of heart valves, catheters, and tissue a plus

The base pay for this position is $27.85 - $55.65 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
