R&D Technician

Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Valhalla, NY
• Work Mode: 100% Onsite
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Responsibilities:

• Support scientists in testing new ingredients and beverage models.
• Accurately prepare samples.
• Submit samples for analytical or sensory testing.
• Thoroughly document experimental details.
• Accurately enter data and analyze results.
• Support production runs in the technical center pilot plant.
• Maintain and document laboratory inventory.
• Perform all activities in a safe manner and within the context of safety protocols.
• Work in the lab under GLP/GMP practices.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
• Manage multiple project tasks to support the workgroup, manage time and expectations for group needs.
• Effectively communicate conflicts of requests.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Laboratory bench work experience in school or at a consumer goods company. (Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus).
• Familiarity with lab analytical instruments and beverage processing equipment.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook (email/calendar).
