Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment.
Position Responsibilities
" Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
" Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating procedures
" Use precision calibrated tools torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers
" Perform visually inspect of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
" Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
" Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
" Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components
" Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
" Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
" More than 3 years of experience reading blueprints, working with manufacturing plans, and reviewing instructions for aerospace manufacturing processes
" Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis
" Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
" More than 3 years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies
" More than 3 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products
" More than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
" More than 3 years of experience with soldering
" More than 5 years of experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)
" More than 3 years of experience using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
" More than 3 years of experience working in a Clean Room environment
" More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
" Currently hold a IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification
" More than 3 years of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems

Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
