Aircraft Client Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Tool and Die Maker - CNC Operator to join our SAMC Back Shop team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. San
Antonio, TX.
Physical requirements:
" Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
" Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
" Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination working with small parts
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
" 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
" 5+ years of experience in operating CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.)
" 5+ years of experience in G-code programming and CNC controls
" Strong computing skills, excellent communication skills and customer-oriented
" Ability to work a variable shift (1st or 2nd)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
" Experience with CAD/CAM/CATIA software
" Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
" Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
