We are seeking an experienced RACF Mainframe Security Project Manager to manage and coordinate RACF Directory Services (RDS), mainframe security tooling, and security-related project execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong RACF and z/OS technical knowledge with proven program/project management experience.

The candidate will work closely with Mainframe Infrastructure, Security Architecture & Engineering, Application Development, Systems Programming, DBA, IMS, MQ, business users, compliance teams, and auditors to deliver secure and compliant mainframe solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage RACF Directory Services initiatives related to mainframe security, tooling, automation, and project execution.
• Assist RACF Mainframe Security Architecture and Engineering teams with technical solution development and testing.
• Assess the technical feasibility of proposed solutions to meet security requirements.
• Work with application development, security product owners, systems programming, DBA, IMS, MQ, business teams, and auditors to define and implement security solutions.
• Coordinate projects and initiatives involving:
  • Role-Based Access Control
  • Privileged Access Management
  • Sensitive Data Protection
  • Mainframe Security Automation
  • Security Reporting and Controls
  • RACF Directory Services
• Support the development and implementation of automation tools, reports, utilities, and batch processes.
• Drive the creation and management of RACF Directory Services metrics, controls, SOPs, and compliance plans.
• Develop project status reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations for program leadership.
• Manage project dependencies, milestones, deliverables, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation.
• Support sprint planning, PI planning, roadmap development, and overall project execution.
• Coordinate with other Mainframe Project Managers on interdependent security initiatives.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, and action items through project completion.
• Support compliance activities and work with auditors when required.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support related to RACF and mainframe security.

Required Technical Skills

• 6 9+ years of hands-on RACF and Mainframe experience
• 10 12 years of overall professional experience
• Strong RACF for z/OS experience
• Strong understanding of Mainframe infrastructure
• Experience with TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and z/OS utilities/facilities
• Knowledge of RACF Directory Services
• Experience with mainframe security monitoring, automation, and reporting tools such as:
  • IBM zSecure
  • Compliance Manager
  • MFA solutions
• Knowledge of Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
• Experience implementing Digital Certificates
• Understanding of encryption and security controls
• Understanding of database technologies such as:
  • DB2
  • SQL
  • MS SQL
  • PostgreSQL

Project / Program Management Skills

• Proven experience managing complex, interdependent programs, projects, and products.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills.
• Experience developing project roadmaps and Gantt charts.
• Strong time management and resource coordination skills.
• Experience managing project dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with JIRA, Rally, Confluence, and GitHub Pages.
• Strong experience preparing project status reports and leadership presentations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in large enterprise Mainframe environments.
• Experience working directly with security, compliance, and audit teams.
• Experience with sensitive data protection and privileged access initiatives.
• Strong Client Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams and participating in sprint and PI planning.
