Racking CAD Designer

Position Overview

Design and manage structural and roll form racking systems for Ashley Furniture Distribution Centers, ensuring efficient warehouse space utilization and safe material storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Create detailed floor plans and elevations for structural and roll form racking systems in Distribution Centers
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for racking projects
• Produce technical drawings and specifications for vendor installation

Project Management

• Manage multiple racking projects simultaneously across different locations
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain competitive quotes for installation
• Track project timelines and ensure deliverables meet deadlines

Operational Support

• Assist in planning and executing racking materials relocations between sites
• Evaluate and optimize existing racking configurations
• Support warehouse layout planning and space utilization improvements

Adaptability

• Pivot between competing priorities as business needs change
• Respond to urgent requests while maintaining ongoing project commitments
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, engineering, and procurement

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Understanding of structural and roll form racking systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills for vendor and stakeholder coordination

PAY RANGE: $18.68-$28.02/Hour
