A rapidly growing defense technology company is building advanced radar systems for demanding real-world applications and is expanding its Integration & Test organization in Hawthorne, California.
We are looking for a Radar Systems Engineer –Integration & Test to join a hands on team responsible for validating every radar that comes off the production line before it is deployed.
This is not a traditional manufacturing engineering position and it is not simply a software testing role. You will work directly with radar hardware, RF test equipment, software, Python based test systems, and system-level validation to determine whether complex radar systems meet their performance specifications.
The team is also developing an increasingly automated test pipeline that will allow trained technicians to execute more of the routine testing over time. As that system matures, engineers will have the opportunity to take on increasingly sophisticated integration, troubleshooting, test development, and new hardware validation work.
Candidates with experience in radar systems testing, RF systems integration, radar verification, or RF test development are especially encouraged to apply.
Experience with radar or RF systems at organizations developing advanced sensing and defense technologies is highly relevant.
The primary target profile is approximately 3–7 years of professional experience, particularly candidates who have already worked hands-on with radar or RF systems testing.
Experienced RF/radar subject-matter experts with 15+ years of experience are also encouraged to apply, particularly those with deep expertise in RF test development, radar integration, or complex RF systems validation.
You are someone who enjoys being close to the hardware and is comfortable figuring out why a complex system isn't behaving as expected.
You can operate RF instrumentation, understand what the measurements mean, write or work with Python-based test systems, and connect individual test results back to the behavior of the overall radar system.
You are also comfortable working in an environment where priorities move quickly, systems are continuously evolving, and engineers are expected to take ownership rather than wait for a highly structured process.
This position is based in Hawthorne, California and requires working onsite five days per week.
