Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Radial Drill Operator for a second-shift manufacturing opportunity in Tulsa. This position is responsible for operating radial drilling equipment to drill, bore, ream, and tap holes in metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
Previous radial drill experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication background who have solid measurement skills and are willing to learn radial drill operations are encouraged to apply.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication experience preferred
Radial drill experience preferred but not required
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to read basic blueprints and work orders
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to safely operate or learn radial drilling equipment
Strong attention to dimensional accuracy and quality
Ability to safely position and handle metal components
Ability to follow production specifications
Strong commitment to workplace and machine safety
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to work occasional Saturdays
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate radial drill machines
Review blueprints and work orders before machining
Position metal components for drilling operations
Secure materials before machining
Drill holes according to applicable specifications
Perform boring operations
Ream holes to required dimensions
Tap holes as required
Select applicable tooling for assigned operations
Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions
Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy
Identify dimensional or machining concerns
Make applicable machine adjustments
Monitor equipment throughout production
Perform routine machine maintenance
Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized
Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Perform additional machining and production duties as assigned
Radial Drill Operations
Candidates may regularly perform:
Drilling
Boring
Reaming
Tapping
Material positioning
Machine setup
Tool positioning
Dimensional verification
Finished-part inspection
Candidates should be comfortable working with metal components and maintaining accuracy throughout repetitive machining operations.
Machine Setup & Material Positioning
Review applicable job requirements

Position materials correctly

Make adjustments as required
Maintain safe material positioning throughout machining
Blueprints & Measurement
Candidates should be able to:
Read basic fabrication or machining blueprints
Follow work orders
Identify required hole locations and dimensions
Read a tape measure accurately
Use applicable measuring instruments
Verify completed dimensions
Identify obvious discrepancies
Compare completed work against specifications
Quality Responsibilities
Inspect completed drilling operations
Verify hole locations and dimensions
Check finished components for accuracy
Identify machining defects or dimensional concerns
Maintain consistent workmanship
Make applicable corrections when required
Communicate quality concerns promptly
Help prevent nonconforming components from advancing through production
Routine Machine Maintenance
Candidates may perform basic maintenance activities including:
Cleaning radial drill equipment
Maintaining clean machine areas
Inspecting tooling
Identifying worn or damaged components
Performing routine maintenance as directed
Reporting equipment problems promptly
Preferred Qualifications
Radial Drill Operator experience
Manual machining experience
Machine Operator experience
Metal fabrication experience
Manufacturing experience
Drill press experience
Blueprint-reading experience
Tape-measure experience
Drilling, boring, reaming, or tapping experience
Experience working with industrial metal components
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely lift, move, and position metal materials as required
Manual dexterity required for machine setup and measurement
Comfortable performing repetitive machining activities
Ability to safely work around metal, tooling, and industrial machinery
Ability to wear all required PPE
Schedule & Overtime
Regular schedule:
MondayFriday
4:30 PM 3:00 AM
Candidates must also be willing to work occasional Saturdays based on production needs.

Industrial machining and metal fabrication environment
