JOB SUMMARY:
SCHEDULE: 8AM-5PM
The Radiation Oncology Scheduler/Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in coordination the delivery of radiation oncology services. This position is responsible for scheduling consultations, simulation appointments, radiation treatments, follow up visits, and other related services while ensuring efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care. In this position, you will greet patients, answer multi line phone calls, verify patient demographics and insurance information, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate electronic medical records. This role will also work closely with radiation oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and other members of the oncology team, this role ensures timely communication, seamless scheduling, and compassionate support for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. Candidate will also participate in performance improvement and CQI activities as requested.
