Must be licensed as a Radiation Therapist in New York (please provide proof of application; license can take 8 12 weeks to obtain).
ARRT certification is required.
Epic experience plus.
Navy blue scrubs required.
Competency test required within 24 hours of submission, sent via candidate's email. Please ensure an up-to-date email is provided at the time of submission.
Required Skills & Experience:
Two (2) years of Radiation Therapy experience.
Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
Interpret computerized treatment plans.
Monitor patients for treatment reactions and report adverse reactions immediately.
Strong technical problem-solving skills.
Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols.
Experience with Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21iX equipment.
Education:
Satisfactory completion of a Radiation Therapy Technology program in an AMA-approved school meeting ARRT registry requirements.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT Certification.
New York State Radiation Therapist License (or proof of application).
