Shift: Days, Mon - Friday.

The Opportunity:
Join a leading clinical team in Des Moines as a Radiation Physicist. You will lead technical quality assurance and collaborate directly with Radiation Oncologists to deliver high-precision therapeutic care. This role offers a professional, mission-driven environment with the flexibility of one remote day per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform QA, commissioning, and calibrations for linear accelerators and brachytherapy equipment.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists on External Beam, SRS, and HDR treatment planning.
  • Oversee technical activities for the dosimetry and therapy staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with Iowa HHS and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in IOeRT treatments and monitor HDR procedures.

Requirements:
  • Education: M.S. in Medical Physics or related field (Required); PhD preferred.
  • Residency: Must have completed a residency within the last 5 years.
  • Certification: Board Certified by the ABR or ABMP (Required).
  • Licensure: Eligible for Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) status in Iowa.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of clinical experience is highly preferred.
