Radiation Therapist

Our Client, a Public University company, is looking for a Radiation Therapist for their Ann Arbor, MI location.

Responsibilities:

• The essential characteristic duties and responsibilities include:
• Administer megavoltage x-ray and electron beam radiation therapy treatments via Varian medical systems.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on treatment plans prior to delivery.
• Use IGRT techniques to localize tumors and safely deliver treatment plans.
• Provide education and instructions to patients and care providers regarding treatment procedures, skin marks, diet, self-care.
• Maintain equipment in clean and proper working order.
• Maintain appropriate and accurate records of patient care.
• Ensure the safety of patients and staff while in radiation areas.
• Communicate patient information to Radiation Oncologists, Nurses, Dosimetrists and other appropriate personnel.
• Participate in the clinical training of radiation therapy students.
• Ability to conduct treatment simulations and fabricate patient immobilization devices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology is necessary.
• Registered in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.
