Our Client, a Public University company, is looking for a Radiation Therapist for their Ann Arbor, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- The essential characteristic duties and responsibilities include:
- Administer megavoltage x-ray and electron beam radiation therapy treatments via Varian medical systems.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on treatment plans prior to delivery.
- Use IGRT techniques to localize tumors and safely deliver treatment plans.
- Provide education and instructions to patients and care providers regarding treatment procedures, skin marks, diet, self-care.
- Maintain equipment in clean and proper working order.
- Maintain appropriate and accurate records of patient care.
- Ensure the safety of patients and staff while in radiation areas.
- Communicate patient information to Radiation Oncologists, Nurses, Dosimetrists and other appropriate personnel.
- Participate in the clinical training of radiation therapy students.
- Ability to conduct treatment simulations and fabricate patient immobilization devices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology is necessary.
- Registered in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.
