Radiation Therapist 

Hours: M-F, 8am-4pm
Location: Brooklyn, NY

Organization: New York Cancer and Blood Specialists

Position Overview:
Radiation Therapists are responsible for delivering high-quality radiation treatments as prescribed by our Radiation Oncologists. This role plays a vital part in our commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

In This Role, You Will:

• Administer radiation to specific body parts as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Ensure proper patient positioning to guarantee accurate treatment delivery
• Follow all principles of radiation protection for patient, staff, and self
• Review and verify patient charts for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and perform daily quality assurance tests on radiation machines
• Fabricate and use immobilization devices as needed
• Counsel patients and monitor side effects, ensuring safety throughout treatment
  
  

We Require

• Flexibility to travel to various locations
• Valid NY State License in Radiation Therapy
• Registered with ASRT and ARRT
• Availability for full-time training (5 days/week) for the first 3 weeks
• New grads welcome
  
  

What We Offer:
Salary: Starting at $52/hr based on experience
