Position Summary:
Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologist. Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, noting in the patients records such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, treatment parameters, the patients reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date.
Assess patients daily to provide the best care based on individualized needs. Deliver prescribed and planned dose of radiation to patients. Work closely with the physician and physics/dosimetry staff in the preparation of a treatment plan that is customized to the needs of the patient.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Position Qualification:
Graduate from accredited program in Radiation Therapy with an Associates degree and 6 months to 1 year experience in Healthcare/Medical - Radiation Therapist position, certified in Radiography RT(R), Radiation Therapy RT (T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologist licensure required.
