Role Overview

A healthcare facility in Nampa, Idaho is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a full-time onsite contract opportunity within the Radiation Oncology department.

This role is responsible for delivering individualized radiation therapy treatments, supporting patient care throughout the treatment process, and collaborating closely with oncology teams to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical experience in radiation therapy, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative oncology environment.

Schedule:

- Monday–Friday

- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

40 Hours Per Week

8-Hour Shifts

Compensation

Total Compensation: $59.62/HR

Taxable Pay: $44.79/HR

Per Diem: $14.83/HR

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Radiation Therapy

Deliver individualized radiation therapy treatments based on physician treatment plans

Administer radiation therapy accurately and safely

Explain treatment procedures and answer patient questions

Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout treatment

Treatment Planning & Monitoring

Collaborate with oncology teams regarding treatment delivery and patient progress

Monitor patient reactions to treatments and communicate concerns appropriately

Suggest treatment adjustments when necessary in collaboration with clinical teams

Educate patients on treatment side effects and symptom management strategies

Imaging & Equipment Operation

Utilize imaging equipment to verify accurate treatment positioning and delivery

Perform quality assurance testing on simulation and treatment equipment

Ensure treatment machines are functioning properly and safely

Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and clinical protocols

Documentation & Clinical Support

Maintain accurate patient treatment records and documentation

Support oncology research and continuous improvement initiatives

Follow departmental policies, safety procedures, and healthcare regulations

Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary oncology environments

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience required

Active BLS Certification required

Ability to provide 2 professional references

Must meet travel eligibility requirements:

- Candidate must live 60+ miles from facility

Strong patient care and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively within oncology care teams

Experience working with radiation therapy equipment and imaging systems
