Position Summary:
-Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, the Radiation Therapist and Lead Radiation Therapist for the Radiation Oncology Department in the *** Family Cancer Institute of *** Hospital organization perform localizing tumors, participate in treatment planning and deliver high doses of ionizing radiation treatment to patients in accordance with prescription and instructions from Radiation Oncologists.
-The Radiation Therapist display and practice a work-style that reflects the mission, vision and values of the Department as well as the Organization.
-Participate in the continuous quality improvement process.
-Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
