We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. The Radiation Therapist will operate radiation therapy equipment, ensure accurate treatment delivery, monitor patient safety and comfort, and maintain treatment documentation while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent preferred
Master's Degree preferred
Experience in radiation therapy or radiologic technology preferred
ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification required
Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT) certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient care, and treatment protocols
Excellent communication, technical, and organizational skills
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders.
Prepare patients and treatment equipment for radiation therapy procedures.
Position and immobilize patients to ensure precise treatment delivery.
Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or complications.
Maintain accurate treatment records, patient documentation, and quality assurance data.
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
Educate patients on treatment procedures and provide compassionate support throughout their care.
Assist with equipment quality control and routine maintenance.
Support the training and clinical supervision of students and new staff as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
