Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. The Radiation Therapist will operate radiation therapy equipment, ensure accurate treatment delivery, monitor patient safety and comfort, and maintain treatment documentation while adhering to radiation safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent preferred

  • Master's Degree preferred

  • Experience in radiation therapy or radiologic technology preferred

  • ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification required

  • Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT) certification required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred

  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient care, and treatment protocols

  • Excellent communication, technical, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders.

  • Prepare patients and treatment equipment for radiation therapy procedures.

  • Position and immobilize patients to ensure precise treatment delivery.

  • Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or complications.

  • Maintain accurate treatment records, patient documentation, and quality assurance data.

  • Follow radiation safety standards and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.

  • Educate patients on treatment procedures and provide compassionate support throughout their care.

  • Assist with equipment quality control and routine maintenance.

  • Support the training and clinical supervision of students and new staff as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
