Radiation Therapist (Outpatient)

Position Overview

The Radiation Therapist will administer prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients using advanced linear accelerator equipment. This role requires precision, strong technical competency, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver external beam radiation therapy as prescribed by radiation oncologist

• Perform patient simulation and setup verification

• Operate and maintain linear accelerator equipment

• Monitor patient condition and document treatment sessions

• Ensure radiation safety standards are strictly followed

• Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology nursing team

Qualifications

• ARRT (T) certification required

• Active California state license required

• 2+ years radiation therapy experience preferred

• Experience with Varian or comparable linear accelerators

• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols
