Job Description:
Radiation Therapist
Full-Time, First Shift
Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, the radiation therapy technologist treats patients with ionizing radiation accurately and efficiently per physician's prescription.
Job Duties:
Administers ionizing radiation and consults with Radiation Oncologist regarding examinations as necessary.
Assists Radiation Oncologist in performing simulations and fabricating immobilization devices.
Stocks treatment rooms with linen and supplies and maintains knowledge of equipment in all areas.
Participates in the education of students of the Radiologic Technology Program and Radiation Therapy Program.
Requirements:
Associate degree from an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required.
Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required.
