Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy, particularly in adult acute care settings
- Proficiency with CT simulation, custom molds, shields, MRI, PET scans, tumor localization, beam modification, block cutting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, wedges, dose calculations
- Experience with treatment planning systems such as Pinnacle (Philips), Eclipse (Varian)
- Knowledge of External Beam Therapy, IMRT, ARIA, Varian 21 ex/ix, and use of lift/transfer devices
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols, isolation precautions, and emergency response procedures
- BLS certification; ARRT T certification required
Nice to Have Skills:
- Current experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
- Exposure to treatment site simulation and other advanced radiotherapy procedures
- Flexibility to work either 5x8 or 4x10 shift schedules
- Previous experience working as a traveler or willingness to adapt to diverse clinical environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified RT with ARRT credential
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in radiation therapy
- Previous traveler experience is welcomed; first-time travelers are encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in Wilmington, NC, and float between two clinical sites as needed
- Willingness to work during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations as part of storm or hurricane teams
- Valid licensure and certifications up to date; travel reimbursement eligibility
- No dimensional or orientation-specific skills required; start directly in the clinic without pre-shift orientation
