    Job Title: Radiation Therapist
    Location: Washington, DC 20037
    Job Type: 13-Week Contract

    Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (Monday–Friday)
    Hours per Week: 40 Hours
    Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements

    Job Requirements:

    • Candidates must live at least 100 miles away from the facility

    • 3–5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist required

    • Must be credentialed as a Registered Radiation Therapist (RTT)

    • Experience with radiation therapy treatment procedures and patient care

    Education:

    • Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy preferred

    Certifications and Licensure:

    • ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy RT(T) – Required

    • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Department of State Health Services) – Required

    • BLS Certification – Required

    Schedule Notes:

    • Day shift, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

    • Weekend call may be required

    • Guaranteed hours are dependent on facility needs

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Deliver daily radiation treatment to patients using ionizing radiation under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist

    • Work closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to perform simulation and treatment calculations

    • Perform daily warm-up and quality assurance of the treatment machine and CT simulator

    • Educate patients and their families about the radiation treatment process and address concerns related to treatment

    • Ensure accurate patient data is provided to therapists, radiation oncologists, and physicists for treatment dose calculations

    • Follow established treatment protocols and ensure compliance with clinical standards

    • Ensure that all treatment processes and documentation are approved and signed by the Radiation Oncologist, including treatment plans, calculations, laboratory and radiology reports, and physician notes
