      Job Summary

Join Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, as our Radiation Therapy Manager and play a pivotal leadership role in delivering exceptional cancer care. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team of Radiation Therapists while overseeing the daily clinical and operational functions of a growing Radiation Oncology department. As both a clinical expert and strategic leader, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of radiation therapy services, champion high-quality patient care, and foster a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of daily treatment operations, ensuring appropriate staffing across treatment areas, monitoring patient volumes, and maintaining seamless workflows to support exceptional patient care. You'll partner closely with Lead Radiation Therapists to implement new treatment techniques, troubleshoot complex clinical cases, coordinate emergent patient care and on-call activities, and promote continuous improvement and standardization of clinical practices. As a subject matter expert, you'll guide your team in the effective use of the electronic medical record (EMR) and Record & Verify systems, support quality assurance processes, and ensure safe, accurate treatment delivery while leading the department through operational challenges, including equipment downtime.

Beyond clinical leadership, you'll drive the operational success of the department by leading recruitment, onboarding, staff development, competency programs, and annual performance evaluations while fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. You'll collaborate with the Director of Cancer Services to support strategic planning, budgeting, staffing models, and resource allocation, while overseeing departmental policies, radiation treatment supplies, vendor partnerships, and staff education. This role also plays a key part in advancing quality improvement initiatives, maintaining accreditation and regulatory readiness, and ensuring compliance with ACR, Massachusetts DPH, and Joint Commission standards. Through close collaboration with Radiation Oncology leaders across the Mass General Brigham system, you'll help implement best practices, support system-wide initiatives, and continuously enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care.

This position is ideal for a collaborative, forward-thinking leader who is passionate about advancing cancer care, developing high-performing teams, and driving innovation in Radiation Oncology.
