Radiation Therapist (Travel Contract)

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent radiation therapy experience and be committed to delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced oncology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician directives.
  • Position patients accurately and safely for treatment procedures.
  • Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment.
  • Review treatment plans and verify patient information prior to treatment.
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any concerns or complications.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental policies.
  • Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks as required.
  • Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support throughout the treatment process.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Radiation Therapist experience.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy [ARRT(T)] – Required.
  • Current state licensure (if applicable).
  • Current BLS certification (preferred if required by facility).
  • Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, safety protocols, and oncology patient care.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
