As a Radiation Therapy Technologist I, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering safe, precise, and compassionate radiation therapy using advanced treatment technologies. Working alongside radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and experienced radiation therapists, you'll play an essential role in providing exceptional patient care throughout every stage of treatment.

    Job Description

    $5000 Sign-on bonus available

    Job Responsibilities

    • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely under the direction of the Radiation Oncology team.
    • Position and prepare patients for treatment while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety throughout each visit.
    • Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment according to established protocols.
    • Assist with CT simulation, clinical simulation, emergency simulation, and treatment preparation.
    • Verify patient identity, treatment parameters, and documentation before each treatment.
    • Monitor patients during treatment and communicate any concerns to the appropriate clinical team.
    • Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records.
    • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and fellow therapists to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
    • Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
    • Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
    • Registry eligible through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
    • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) licensure required upon obtaining ARRT certification.
    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

    Preferred

    • Previous clinical or professional experience in Radiation Oncology.
    • Experience working with linear accelerators and radiation treatment planning workflows.
    • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-centered care skills.
