Job Description
Job Title: Radiator Technician
Repairs and overhauls heat exchangers & fuel tanks made from a variety of materials and used in the operation of automobiles, buses, trucks, marine vessels, and stationary units, excluding any aircraft, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Examines part to be repaired and discusses correct course of action to return the unit to operating condition.
Develops Plan on how to perform work.
Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
Any additional parts or repairs that were not found during the initial inspection should be brought up to the attention of the manager/supervisor.
Assists or directs the ordering of replacement components.
Replaces parts such as cores, coolers, tubes, connections, headers, gaskets, nuts, and bolts.
Overhauls units according to industry, company, and shop standards.
Understanding and safety awareness of all on or off-site equipment used such as: hot tank, pressure washer, grinders, hand tools, forklift, overhead hoist, sand blaster, or any new equipment that maybe used for jobs or projects.
Understanding and safety awareness of all chemicals used on or off-site.
Understands and maintains all on-site environmental systems pertaining to the disposal of products from the waste streams
