Standard Job Description

Directs the architecting and designing of Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Manages the design and development of RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Leads the staff responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Oversees the preparation of the following: test methods and specifications; analysis and testing of RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. Manages the development of RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Coordinates link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Manages the development and allocation of RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Oversees the identification and tracking of RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Monitors RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical or RF Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
• Proven track record of leading a team of engineers.
• Experience managing technical projects.
• Development of mission systems and the integration of them into a larger system.
• Experience with Earned Value techniques such as Control Account Management (CAM)
• Experience managing Suppliers of Communications, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) systems.

Desired Skills

• Advanced degree from an accredited college in Electrical or RF Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience in leading CNI technical teams.
• Experience presenting to internal and external management, customers and suppliers.
• Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with responding to customer proposals and other capture activities.
• Experience with Production and Sustainment of systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
