The Client is looking for a candidate to provide project management expertise related to the implementation of a new Client-wide Public Safety Radio, P25, simulcast, FDMA/TDMA, trunked, encrypted, 7-800 MHz voice, and Microwave Communication Systems. The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience managing Client public safety radio systems and projects (preferably within a law enforcement environment), and within the 500 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, combined 7-800 MHz, and LTE frequency bands.
Specific experience in project management overseeing and validating the prime system contractor's design, C, C++, Java, and ASP.NET software for API development and integration into: Client NICE Logging and Recording Systems, CAD, GIS/CC AWARE, and AMS implementations. A strong team leader/supervisor, self-motivated, and experienced overseeing and coordinating tasks assigned to project radio consultants and other Client employees.
Knowledge of FCC regulations, compliance and licensing requirements, and construction deadlines is required. The candidate will ensure contractual technical and non-technical requirements, and all associated system and component features, functionality, and operation meet the required contractual specifications.
The successful candidate must be versed in acceptance test procedures, alarming systems, interpretation of radio coverage maps, OTAP, OTAR, ISSI, Radio Authentication, Radio Central, and Provisioning Manager.
Responsibilities include reviewing vendor invoices, validating their alignment with all applicable contractual terms and conditions, tracking project schedules, budgets, encumbrances, and change orders, and providing reviews of technical and non-technical system documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
