    Job Summary:

    $7,500 Sign on Bonus for qualified applicants!!Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiological/fluoroscopic examinations, operating related equipment and devices, maintaining safe radiation practices and maintaining related records.

    Job Duties:

    Performs standardized radiological and fluoroscopic examinations involving proper positioning of patient, techniques, and operation of equipment. Verifies correct order and patient identification. Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology for standardized examinations. Assists physicians with various procedures. Utilizes digital technology for image production. Responsible for Qualtiy Assurance of images sent to picture archiving communication systems. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. Provides necessary education to the patient. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Administers first aid and assists in cases of adverse reaction to media. Imaging exams and procedure tray set up require access and handling of non-controlled medications. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.     Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years-Clinical (Preferred)

    Certification(s) and License(s):

    Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification- American Heart Association (AHA), Certified Radiology Technologist- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
