Responsibilities


Responsible for performing all aspects of general, neuro, and interventional radiography and computerized tomography studies in an emergency room setting, with little or no supervision. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed, and performs a variety of tasks that require a high degree of skill and autonomy, and the ability to multi-task and prioritized effectively. Performs laboratory functions and frequently assists performing various laboratory tests, IV starts, splinting, and vitals.


+ Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and/or nuclear medicine and PET

+ Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order

+ Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.

+ Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications


Minimum:


+ One (1) year of current experience performing CT and Radiographic procedures in an emergency room setting.

+ Graduate of a 2 year accredited school of Radiology Technology.

+ STATE : Must hold and maintain AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing CRT: Certified Radiologic Technologist (CT CRT) and CTCT: Certified Technologist/Computed Tomography (LIC CT)

+ NATIONAL : Must also hold and maintain national American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (CT ARRT)

+ American Heart Association-issued Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)


Preferred:


+ Level 1 or 2 trauma center ER experience.
