Performs MRI Scan examinations on patients and coordinates patient flow to the MRI scanner. Performs routine and specific duties on a schedule or as dictated by the workload. Assists in evaluation, coordinating, implementing and maintaining all new and existing policies and procedures pertaining to the MRI scan examinations. Reports all equipment problems to the Imaging Director and contacts the service vendor for prompt repairs. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the colleagues and the physicians.
Minimum Education:
Graduate of Radiology School-Associate's degree in radiological sciences. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).Graduating students can utilize Student Board of Health License for 90 daysuntil Radiology Technologist State Board of Health License is obtained.
Or Graduate of MRI Technology School only- Associate’s degree in MRI Technology. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). No Indiana State Licensure required for non-Radiology Technologists.
