Radiologic Technologist (Float)
Location: Northern New Jersey
Position Overview
A well-established orthopedic and multisite specialty practice in Northern New Jersey is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist (Float) to join its growing team. This role will primarily support high-volume outpatient locations with occasional coverage at additional sites as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed X-Ray Technologist looking to join a collaborative, long-tenured team environment with strong leadership support, schedule flexibility, and long-term growth potential. New graduates are encouraged to apply if they already possess an active New Jersey license.
Schedule
Full-time preferred, 36-40 hours per week
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday during regular office hours
Primarily 8-9 hour shifts with some flexibility
Shorter shifts may occur on Fridays
No weekends required at this time
Part-time candidates available 2-3 days/week may also be considered
Overtime opportunities may be available based on scheduling needs and are paid at time and a half
OR Coverage Schedule
Potential OR coverage schedule may include:
Fridays: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Every other Monday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Occasionally one Tuesday per month depending on booked cases
Please note schedules may vary week to week based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
Float between multiple clinic locations to provide radiology coverage as needed
Support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain a professional bedside manner
Collaborate closely with the Lead Radiologic Technologist and multidisciplinary team
Assist with cross-functional clinical support duties as needed
Participate in cross-training for select medical assisting responsibilities
Qualifications
Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license required
Candidates awaiting licensure will not be considered
BLS certification required
Ability and willingness to travel between multiple Northern NJ locations
Experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or multisite settings preferred
Open to newly graduated X-Ray Technologists with an active NJ license
