CT Technologist – Travel Assignment
Location: Rochester MI -48307
Contract Dates: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours


Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and independent CT Technologist to perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures and support diagnostic imaging services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent patient care, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
 
Responsibilities
  • Explain CT procedures and prepare patients for examinations
  • Review physician orders and patient clinical history to ensure appropriate imaging studies are performed
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Administer IV contrast media, including use of power injectors, and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Assist Radiologists with sterile and advanced diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
  • Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles at all times
  • Manage and verify image transfer and quality within PACS systems
  • Complete study documentation and indexing in RIS systems
  • Prepare and maintain imaging rooms, supplies, and sterile equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation for clinical and billing purposes
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service standards
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and healthcare staff
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) compliance required
Certifications & Licensure
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ARRT Registered Technologist required
  • Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required or registry eligible
Required Skills & Experience
  • Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
  • Experience with PACS and RIS systems
  • Team-oriented with flexibility and initiative
  • Commitment to diversity, professionalism, and customer service excellence
  • Physical & Working Conditions
  • May work in hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging settings
  • Potential exposure to radiation and contagious patients
  • Ability to lift/move patients or equipment over 10 lbs occasionally
  • Exposure to high-voltage imaging equipment
