Radiologic Technologist – CT (Computed Tomography)

Location: Syracuse, New York
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $2,100 - $2,900 Weekly
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Shift Options:
• 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (4 x 10-Hour Shifts)
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 x 12-Hour Shifts)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a hospital radiology department. The ideal candidate will have prior CT imaging experience, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced academic medical center environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration.

• Minimum one (1) year of CT or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

• Experience operating CT imaging equipment.

• Strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and protocols.

• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection practices.

• Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS).

• Strong patient communication and positioning skills.

• Ability to work evening, overnight, and varied shift schedules.

• Experience with Toshiba or comparable CT systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging examinations as ordered by physicians.

• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.

• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.

• Operate CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

• Apply radiation safety principles and exposure reduction techniques.

• Process images and enter data into RIS systems.

• Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly.

• Follow departmental imaging protocols and quality standards.

• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
