Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks


Schedule

  • Shift: 3x13-hour shifts
  • Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Hours: 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations. The technologist will work under the supervision of radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians
  • Greet and prepare patients, explaining procedures clearly
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images
  • Set appropriate exposure factors for optimal imaging results
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety and protection standards
  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment efficiently and report any malfunctions
  • Process imaging studies and ensure proper documentation
  • Enter patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and recordkeeping
  • Follow departmental protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience performing radiographic imaging procedures
  • Strong knowledge of imaging equipment operation and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
