Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and compliance with departmental protocols in a community healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
- Operate radiology equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Practice proper radiation safety and patient protection standards
- Input patient and examination data into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing
- Monitor imaging equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and imaging protocols
- Provide excellent patient communication and care throughout examinations
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license/registration required
- Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience required
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required
