Overview:

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist Iinternally referred to as our Radiology Tech IThe Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. 

 

Shift’s Available:  Days 

Employment Type: Full Time with On-Call Requirement (must live w/in 30 minutes of RRMC)

Hours: 8-hour shift

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols 
  • Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed 
  • Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations 
  • Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history 
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification 
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images 
  • Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) 

 

Qualifications:
Education and Training

 

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • ARRT-R Certification
  • Current BLS accredited by the AHA
  • Familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • Proficient computer skills

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

  • At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
