Job Overview

This position involves utilizing various imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing radiologic procedures on assigned patients in accordance with departmental policies and hospital objectives.
  • Ensuring that all procedures adhere to radiological standards, are conducted safely, accurately, and promptly, and meet the American College of Radiology (ACR) imaging standards.
  • Taking responsibility for specific areas and procedures as assigned.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a high standard of patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • State license for Radiologic Technologist or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Experience with X-Ray procedures.
  • Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties outline the general nature of the work and are not exhaustive:

  • Conduct radiologic procedures on patients as per policy and standards.
  • Confirm patient identity and the procedure to be performed.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients.
  • Ensure correct imaging protocols and parameters for each patient.
  • Maintain safety for both patients and staff regarding equipment usage.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training.
  • Perform quality control checks on equipment as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other staff and departments for patient care.
  • Manage supply inventory and request orders when needed.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with health regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
  • Ability to hear and see adequately to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of radiologic equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capability to organize tasks and set priorities effectively.
