Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Administrative Director and the Supervision of the Lead Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures as directed by a physician, servicing patients of all ages and requiring independent judgment to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The majority of patients will be from the adult and geriatric age groups. Performs a variety of patient contact duties that may include educating patients/families to safety protocols and to routine diagnostic procedures. Utilizes Epic for patient processing and multiple system for digital capture of diagnostic images. Ensures that images are sent properly and efficiently transmitted to MGH Teleradiology for interpretation.
