The Staff Radiologic Technologist provides high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services using various imaging modalities. This role performs diagnostic procedures in accordance with physician orders, applies radiation protection principles including ALARA standards, and exercises professional judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The technologist maintains strong working relationships with patients, medical staff, and colleagues while supporting departmental and hospital objectives.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders • Apply radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with ALARA standards • Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and image quality • Provide patient care essential to imaging procedures, including monitoring patient condition • Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate life support measures when necessary • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records • Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning • Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with patients, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments • Comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
PRN Status Clause
This is a PRN as-needed position. The selected candidate must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly based on departmental needs. Additional hours may be required at the request of the supervisor to meet departmental objectives. Work hours may increase or decrease depending on patient volume and operational needs. Schedule flexibility is required.
Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licenses & Certifications
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT eligible • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) license is required • Advanced ARRT certification preferred • Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
