Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist produces high quality diagnostic images and operates the equipment associated with the Radiology Department. Takes radiologic films of various portions of the body to assist in the detection of foreign bodies and the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Performs proper handling of infectious waste and contaminated instruments.
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
Position Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred. If applicable, successful completion of training to perform other radiology modalities (e.g., select C.T. procedures, etc.).
Technical Skills: Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, and sterile techniques.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Registered technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensed in the State of Ohio. BLS required.
Schedule: Minimum 24 hours per month
Status: Per Diem (PRN)
