Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer | Contract

Location: Bronx, NY

Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders.

  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively.

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.

  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper identification procedures.

  • Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.

  • Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary.

  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain imaging equipment.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Preferred:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

  • Previous acute care hospital experience.

  • Experience working overnight shifts in a Diagnostic Imaging department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience.

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program.

  • Current ARRT Certification and Registration required.

  • Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License required.

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices.

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and patient records.

  • English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write).

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
