Radiologic Technologist – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist with experience in orthopaedic imaging to join our dynamic clinical team. This role specializes in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images that assist our orthopaedic providers in delivering precise, effective care. From sprains to complex fractures, you'll be a critical part of the diagnostic and treatment journey for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging (X-rays) specific to orthopaedic protocols and positioning
Collaborate with physicians to capture detailed views of musculoskeletal structures for accurate assessment
Ensure appropriate imaging techniques based on patient condition, age, and mobility
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment for optimal performance and image clarity
Practice strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines for patients and staff
Ensure proper documentation, image storage, and EMR integration
Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients during imaging procedures
Assist clinical staff in supporting patient flow and optimizing room turnover as needed
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification and valid state Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable)
Minimum 1–2 years of radiologic experience; orthopaedic imaging experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in PACS and digital radiography systems
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
Ability to adapt to varied patient needs, including pediatric and post-surgical cases
Physical Requirements:
Physical guidelines include ability to be exposed to minimal radiation, stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patient in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair.
Physical requirements also include repetitive lifting of objects weighing up to 11 pounds with occasional lifting to 30 pounds.
